Meet the Universal Works x Taion Mod Parka — an oversized, seriously warm take on the classic parka.
Taion takes its name from the Japanese word for body temperature, and since launching in 2016 the Japanese outerwear brand has built a reputation for down-filled jackets, gilets and coats designed to keep the cold firmly at bay.
This collaboration combines that expertise with Universal Works’ relaxed, utilitarian approach. Cut in an oversized fit and finished in a soft sand-coloured quilted softshell, it features a poppered front, two practical front pockets and drawstring adjusters to the hood and hem for a little extra protection when the temperature drops.
