Vintage Indian Kantha Quilt

Here at The Potting Shed we have  a range of beautiful vintage Indian Kantha quilts. Each one is completely, unique. These quilts are from Kerala in southern India and are made from repurposing old pieces of fabric and saree's to create something useful, new and beautiful. This one is double sided and comprises of a cream and peach floral pattern on one side and blocks of pink and green and mustard colours on the reverse.

This one pictured measures 234cm x 160cm

 

These all come with patches, holes, and  repairs which for us, make them what they are. Beautiful objects that have lived, and that have a story to tell.
